Raven jumped back over the border, but Karishma was too far away to get back. As Raven ran back to the nearest Sunsoul settlement, Karishma ran away from the Freelanders as fast as she could. She blasted fire behind her. She burned tree branches that fell into their path. But they were still gaining on her. Suddenly, something heavy crashes into her from behind, and her world goes dark. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jeylan walks along the edge of Human territory. Or so it was called, she thought, irritated. No one had expected her to have any powers whatsoever, and with her fiery temper, and her quickness to a fight, they expected her being a Winterkin even less. The only reason she wasn't in Winterkin territory right now was that her parents were completely powerless, ordinary humans. Lucky them. She heard scuffling off to the side, from near the Sunsoul border, and sees four figures in dark robes dragging a girl with fire colored hair. A Sunsoul! And Freeelanders! Without thinking, she jumped over her border, realizing too late that she had just severed all ties with her family and her people, and blasted the Freelanders in the face with a blanket of frost. They dropped the girl, who rolled off to the side with a moan, and focused their attention on Jaylan. She froze them where they stood, and ran over to the girl. She winced at the sight of the wound on the girls back. Obviously she had been hit in a critical point of the spinal cord by a very heavy object. Jaylan dragged the girl over to a cave she had seen from near the border, and prayed she hadn't gotten herself into TOO much trouble.
