To begin the game, press the green flag and wait for the title to appear. If you want detailed instructions, select the HELP icon at the menu. To begin playing Doctor Who - Desperate Measures, click on the PLAY icon. I highly recommend playing with your volume turned up and in small-screen mode (full-screen causes far more lagging). As you are teleported, listen carefully to The Doctor's instructions. Use your mouse and keyboard to perform a variety of functions in order to save your planet! Things to know for non Whovians: 1) The Doctor is the last of a species known as the Time Lords. He has a vessel that can transport through time, which he uses to protect the universe from serious danger. 2) The Daleks are a time-travelling species that went to war with the Time Lords. Both species were almost completely wiped out in the process, but a few Daleks survived the Time War. 3) The TARDIS is an acronym for Time And Relative Dimension In Space. It looks like a blue phone box and can travel anywhere. It's interior is far more vast than its exterior. The Doctor uses the TARDIS to travel through time and space. 4) A shield generator is a machine that creates a force field to contain an object or person. When deactivating the shield generator holding The Doctor in the game, be sure to hover your cursor over it. 5) A sonic screwdriver is a small white handheld device that uses sonic waves to destroy, repair, and move objects.
