Man, I'm so proud of those wings :D So what d'ya think? I worked really hard on this drawing :) Moonfrost told me not to trash Aquillon's backstory, so XD Itallic Gender: male likes: Summer, hunting, racing dislikes: Rainy or cloudy days, threats ablities: Can fly, Has a deep connection with the sun like the rest of his kind, Can breath small plumes of flame. Itallic is a suncat. They live on clouds and are invisible to humans and other animals except the ones that fly. They hunt birds and get their energy from sunlight. They can also breathe small plumes of flame, but there is a legend of an ancient suncat that could create firestorms. They are mortal enemies with the moonhounds. The moonhounds are the opposites of the suncats. They charge in moonlight. They are active at night, and they hunt bats and they gang up on the occasional owl. They can fly as well, and they are also invisible to humans and ground and sea creatures. They can shoot shards of moonstone from their tails that are sharper than swords. The suncats and moonhounds ignore each other and it has been strictly forbidden since the beginning of time for them to befriend each other and to have offspring. The suncats and moonhounds hardly ever clash, but when they do, they create an eclipse. When a lunar eclipse occurs, the battle is in the suncats' favor, because the suncats block out the moonlight that powers the moonhounds. When a solar eclipse occurs, the moonhounds have the upper hand, because they block out the sunlight that powers the suncats.

Description

backstory: Itallic lived with his mother and father. One day, there was solar eclipse, the night had just ended, so the suncats were low on energy and Itallic's father died. Itallic's mother, Asha, was devastated. A few moons later, Itallic noticed that Asha was gone for several hours of the night and day. One night, he followed her. He found out that she had been meeting with a moonhound named Nox. Itallic, being loyal to his mother, covered for her when anyone asked where she was. Later on, Asha got pregnant. She died giving birth to Itallic's little sister, Celeste. Itallic claimed she had died when attacked by an eagle when she was hunting and cared for his little sister and kept her hidden. He did this for moons until she was discovered by Nox's sister, Atra. She captured Celeste and threatened to reveal her to both the moonhounds and the suncats unless Aquillon fetched the Amberstone, which was the gemstone that connected the suncats to the sun itself, for her so she could destroy it and have the moonhounds defeat the suncats and she would rule the land in eternal darkness with the former suncats as the moonhounds' slaves. Legend has it that it was forged from the sun's very flames, and only the protector of the stone was able to touch it without going up in flames. But no one had touched it for years because they didn't know who the protector was. Legend had it that the suncat who could create firestorms was the original protector. Atra did not know the suncat legends except that the Amberstone made the suncats who they were. Itallic, fearing for his little sister's life, led Atra to the Amberstone during the night when he didn't have the energy to fight her. Itallic was scared to touch the Amberstone so Atra, in her fury grabbed the stone herself, she let go almost immediately as her paws lit on fire. But it seemed that her desire to destroy the stone outweighed the pain and she lunged for it once more, but Itallic knew that if he could keep the stone away from Atra long enough, the fire would spread until it enveloped her whole body. So he dived for it, preparing to feel the pain of fire, but instead he felt like he could move moutains. He felt fire building up inside him, but it didn't hurt him. The cloud around him lit up in a wall of fire trapping him, Celeste, and Atra in. The fire had spread to Atra's legs and though her eyes were filled with pain, she barked her fury and continued to try and get the Amberstone. As if by instinct, Itallic opened his mouth and breathed the largest tongue of fire he had ever seen. It enveloped Atra and her screams caused the other suncats to rush over to the Amberstone temple. Itallic dropped the stone and fell to the ground, feeling just as he had before he had touched it. Atra was dead, and the other suncats were bowing...to...him? The Itallic understood. Only the protector of the Amberstone could produce such a flame. He was the protector, the distant descendant of the first protector, who had forged the stone. I'm pretty proud of this story, considering the amount of time it took for me to write this. :P
