Instructions

Fibonacci Sunflower 5 (Combo Version) - Click the Green Flag. Use the Slider to change no. of colours (1-5) used. Different way of doing it here, so with 1 colour it looks more like a real Sunflower. Counting the 21 clockwise Spirals is trivial with 3 colours, further confirming that Spirals of 8, 13, 21 & 34 are countable & traceable from the centre right to the edge. You can also see 3 inner Spirals. But wait, try 5 colours - a set of 5 Spirals? And look again, there's a previously unseen set of 55 Spirals! So they're all there: 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34 & 55!

Description

Created by @gregatku for use in Classes for Kids Unlimited. Students can build this project if they wish to, as the code is fairly simple. It is another follow-up to the Fibonacci Spiral exercise. Here we create clones (large initially) in ever decreasing size. Each clone is spawned after turning the number of degrees that divides the circumference of a circle into 2 arcs that are in the Golden Ratio with each other (the Golden Angle - close to 137.5 degrees).
