I made an overlay sorta like Lone Survivor. The pixel texture is from google, but the gradient and the whole image is by me. :) Pyroaura made the Cowboy lol (too lazy to draw one myself xD). For Pyroaura: This is what I imagined what the overlay on the screen would look like, and we could have the scrolling background in a separate sprite.
