Instructions

Fibonacci Sunflower 4 (Combo Version) - Click the Green Flag. Use the Slider to change how many colours (1-5) are used. It is clear with 4 colours that the hard to observe inner set of 8 Spirals (the only obvious single colour Spirals when using 4 colours) continue all the way from the centre to the edge (just follow a colour). Perhaps controversially, I further contend that this is true for all the observed sets of Spirals in this Model (ie. 8, 13, 21 & 34) and even more controversially in most real Sunflowers too! But there's more ...

Description

Created by @gregatku for use in Classes for Kids Unlimited. Students can build this project if they wish to, as the code is fairly simple. It is another follow-up to the Fibonacci Spiral exercise. Here we create clones (very large initially) in ever decreasing size. Each clone is spawned after turning the number of degrees that divides the circumference of a circle into 2 arcs that are in the Golden Ratio with each other (the Golden Angle - close to 137.5 degrees).
