Version 2 (24/10/17): - Removed the changeover animation from mode to mode. Turns out that was the main reason why it was lagging- even for my computer XD - Also changed how Jade runs, was also lagging a lot. - Other design changes :P Version 1 (2/10/17): - Original game release -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to Catch-Up, an endless runner game by @KJEKJE with just enough obstacles and fast-paced gameplay to make you throw your computer out the window! *I'm not responsible for any damages (/⊙︿⊙\)* - :Instructions: - - Press that green flag and give this endless runner game a go! - You play as Jade, a little character who loves to run. A lot. *Menu Screen* - Use left/right arrow keys to change stage/difficulty! - Use the 'm' key to toggle music playing in the project! - Press space to start the game, and run forever! :P (Tips will show up to remind you how-to-play and stuff too) *In-Game* - Use 'left/right' arrow keys to change your pace slightly. - Hold 'down' key to slide under signposts! - Press the 'up' key to jump over spikes! - Use Jade Form (hold 'j' key) to phase through obstacles! - SPAM the space bar to keep your stamina up! *Obstacle Descriptions* - Spikes knock down your HP - All signs can knock out all of your HP - Falling/touching the 'X's will also knock out all of your HP So, if you lose all of your HP; Run out of stamina; Hit a signpost; Or fall; It's game over for you! Quite a few losing conditions this time round, right? Yeeeaahh, Have fun with that. :D Tips for reducing lag:- - Don't use fullscreen - Download it to your computer and play it offline (WR won't be counted though :/) - Refresh the page - Press the green flag again - Try it muted :P ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hey Scratchers! How's it going? I've finally reached 150 projects on my main account, with more to share in the future too :D It's been a while since I've shared something big here! It's actually mostly because I was wondering what to make for my 150th, really. Originally, this was going to be a variety of other kinds of projects I had planned. Other ideas for PN150 included an 'Ask KJEKJE 3', an art dump, and 'Happy 4 Years', but I decided that this was the way to go. It was only until I was designing new characters that this game even came to exist! :D In terms of my whereabouts over the past month or two, I was abroad for some time visiting family and enjoying the rest of what was my Summer! As well as that, I settled back into my busy school lifestyle (as usual :P). I may seem like I've been pretty inactive, but little do you know that I've been on the site pretty frequently, answering comments on my last project *Thanks for the feature btw everyone!*, keeping up with current Scratch News, and sharing other random things on my test account too. This, for sure, is going to be my last huge project for a now. I spent quite some time on this project, and I think I'll just work on some random other stuff for now. That includes music, short animations, and updates. Yeah, we'll go with that :D Don't worry though- my next big project will likely be 'Happy 4 Years', but I have not idea when that's going to be done. All I can say about that is stay tuned for more! XD Now, onto the credits! X=P -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - :Credits: - - I used only one Scratch Sound Clip, but every other sound effect and song was made by @KJEKJE (that's me if you didn't know) - The animations and little movements were all made by me :P - The artwork was also made by me! - 99% coding was made by me, but extra credit to @ninushka for the easier slide script. Been looking for a simpler one for ages. :D - Also, thanks to my bro @Loninja03 for testing this out too! ^-^ - Last, but not least, thank YOU so much for sticking around and viewing this project!
