My first MAP! I have high hopes for this one, so I might not cancel it. I’m already part of a bunch of MAPs so you might not see my entry anytime soon. XD. Well, these are going to be the rules for the MAP. I really want you guys to read through this carefully, please, instead of just skimming through it. We do it a wee-bit differently than regular MAPs. Please do not steal, or recolor an entry that already exists, or some kind of gif from the internet and/or claim it as your own. Please, make your own, creative entry. This is an OC MAP, so please use your own OCs. No fandom characters, strictly no other characters that you do not own. Again, your own OCs, please. This is a PMV MAP, so no animating please. Don’t do your part until you are approved, please! Experienced artists please. Send me several links to your best pieces of art please. This is a vent MAP, so try to make it meaningful, you can tell a dark story, or give out a message. Try to avoid using very bright colors, since this is a vent MAP, so mostly use dark colors, if your OC has bright colors with it, use gradients. I recommend using a different program, such as FireAlpaca. If you’re good with Scratch, then go ahead! But like I said, send me links of art you made with Scratch. Although this is a vent MAP, avoid using too much blood and gore please, because I really want to have this MAP completed and not removed. You need two OCs, one that represents the vocalist, and another one miserable, which the vocalist is trying to help. Maximum of 2-3 sprites, 1 could be the part itself, and the other one could be effects, the background, text, or a gradient if you are using Scratch. Make most of it colored in, but you can add a silhouette in it ONCE if you want to for a short period of time. Maximum 2 parts please! I want to see lots of unique artists. :3 Use text, and don’t use ‘happy looking’ texts. This is a vent MAP, so creepy/emotional text please. Use effects, but I’ll only limit you to using brightness effect (don’t use this one often, please!), ghost effect, zoom it, zoom out, glide (I know they’re not exactly effects but I’m just giving you examples.), fisheye effect (again, just use this one a little bit), and pixelate effect. Filters are recommended. A good place for filters is: https://pixlr.com/o-matic/ No forever blocks or broadcast blocks, this is the real world, dude. (Just kidding, but pointing out, please don’t use these blocks.) You have two weeks to do your part. If you can’t get it done, I will give you a one week extension, but nothing else. Feel free to tell me if you need to drop. This MAP might possibly be posted on YouTube when finished… so tell me if you are comfortable with people seeing your part on YouTube. No backdrop animating, please! You can make one backdrop, or you can make it with the sprite, or a different sprite. You can add a LITTLE bit of animation, but only ‘twitching’ movements. (making one frame and tracing it over the frame after to make it look like it’s moving.) If you read all of this, you can choose between two of these codewords and use them in a sentence: ‘night’ or ‘grave’. (reference to the artist of the song and part of the song, itself.) EXTRA! IMPORTANT!: If you have the Intro part, make the end of the intro brighten and dim it up, ending it quickly to the next part. I also want the outro part to be bright, with a sunrise, hence the song, dimming out at the end of the part, with every artists’ username brighting up and dimming out to the next one. Got it? EXTRA! IMPORTANT #2: At the beginning of the song, make it nighttime, and around the middle of it, make it a bit brighter, and at the parts close to the end, make it sunrise. Use a Gloria font or a font similar to Gloria and a little bit happier at the end. And at the bridge part of the song (Around Part 19-20), make it dark as you can, still making the characters visible, and the OC based off the vocalist desperate to speak to the other character, while the other character (not the character based off the vocalist) ignores the character trying to help them, but ending up changing and listening to them, being happy again. Recommendations Shading ‘Twitch’ Animating Dark Gradients Dark Colors in general Dark feel becoming ‘warmer’ as the song goes on Lighting (from the stars, the moon, and the sun if your part includes one) Filters Effects (Not too many, though!) Bright text. Preferably white or a very light gray, no bright greens ‘cause that wouldn’t look very good on a viewer’s eyes. Avoid using too much flashing. But if you’re gonna be a rebel, I’ll put a warning. Optional Coloring the characters gray (keep the gradients, though) Different colors of gradients, but please make them dark, example: dark blue, dark red, dark gray…? You get the point.
