Poisonbite sighed, realizing how horrible she was at her craft, and buried her creation in the sand. Suncatcher had already proposed the plan to search for the necklace around the Sand Kingdom, but Poisonbite could tell that all three of them, including herself, were wary. Of course, they weren’t traveling alone, (Onetalon had argued about bringing Skywing supporters and Seawing supporters, and Poisonbite thought about bringing her Rainwing friends.) but Poisonbite felt like they would fail, like always. “Poisonbite, why are you out there?” She turned around and faced Onetalon. “Oh, me?” She asked gloomily. “Why the sad face? We’re having your favorite today, scorched hare!” Poisonbite perked up. “Really? tell Suncatcher I’m coming!” Onetalon chuckled as he watched her enter the drafty cabin. Poisonbite heard a gentle knock at the door, and by gentle, she wouldn’t have noticed it unless Onetalon pointed it out. “I’ll go answer it.” Suncatcher said, gesturing to the door. Poisonbite was baffled to see a tiny, discolored Skywing, probably two years younger than her, standing in the front of the door. He was the color of burned clay, looked abnormally pale, and had vibrant, but scared green eyes that reminded Poisonbite of grass on dew. He didn’t seem the sociable type. “H-hello...my name is Ember...You might have met my sister, Peril, and my mother, Kestrel of the Skywings, who have joined your band. The Talons Of Peace, is it?...” Ember murmured at a voice the sound of a mere mouse squeaking. A huge grin spread on Suncatcher’s face. “Well come in! What are you waiting for?” Ember smiled weakly. “Well, actually, I need something to heal my wing. It seems dislocated, but I need help to put it back in place.” Onetalon held the wing in his claws. “This looks far too damaged to be a simple dislocation. You won’t be able to fly until a full moon with a wound like this! How did you even get your wound?” “Well, a couple Sandwing soldiers tried to raid our belongings, and I took most of the hits. Fortunately, nothing was stolen.” Ember said sheepishly. “Who would even hit you?! Don’t they know it hardly is honorable? I mean look at yo-” Poisonbite blurted out without thinking. Onetalon and Suncatcher glared at Poisonbite before she could say another word. “I-I mean, s-sorry that you were attacked...” Poisonbite’s forehead glowed bright orange, something she only did when flustered. “Well, anyways, my wing is not the only reason i’m here. My sister, Peril, should be here by now.” Ember glanced expectedly to the door. Sure enough, a loud voice answered. “Ember you useless Skywing, you know I can’t open this door!” Peril screeched. “There goes my peace and quiet.” Ember sighed as he pushed open the door. “Thanks.” Peril grumbled. She looked at the floors, which were made with stone, before stepping into the cabin. “Hello, Peril, is there anything you need help with?” Onetalon offered his paw. Peril winced. “Well, I kinda made an incognito princess supporter that I told where our base was, REALLY angry with me when I sorta smashed into her side, and sorta melted off her scales...?” Onetalon quickly retracted his paw. “Also, all her friends are storming this place now...soooooo....” Suncatcher’s eyes widened, “WHAT?! NOW?!? WHY DID YOU EVEN DO THAT! HOW MANY DOES THAT SUPPORTER EVEN CALL HER FRIEND?!?” Peril stepped back, quite astonished from the sudden outburst of a usually diplomatic Sandwing. “W-well, they’re coming at new-night, and will take us away to be called upon the wrath of the three princesses.” Peril shuddered. “Well, it can’t be THAT bad, can’t it?” Poisonbite asked nervously. “HOW IS IT NOT THAT BAD?! IT’S ALMOST NEW-NIGHT, AND WE DON’T EVEN HAVE ANYTHING PREPARED! THE FEW ALLIES WE HAVE MOSTLY WILL NOT COME TODAY!” Suncatcher shook Poisonbite so hard that she swore she could feel all her bones breaking. Onetalon attempted to walk closer to the shuddering, vengeful creature that was Suncatcher. “We can make the most in an hour. I’ll tell our members to come immediately, and be prepared for the wave of dragons, no matter how large the fleet is.” He then turned to Peril, who was next to Ember, although the only part of Ember Poisonbite could see, were his talons over his ears. “Come, let us warn the others.” Part Three in next project!
