Heeeeeeello lovely Scratchers! How's life? Well, this is a new OC of mine-- Wren. She's a winged wolf of the New Moon's Pack. She lives in the magical land of Deephaven, in the depths of a forest. Her father is Crag and her mother is Dawn, and she has two brothers and a sister (just within her litter), Skye, Thunder, and Olive. Her fur is silver and her eyes are green, and she has white-feathered wings, as most winged wolves do (although the alphas' wings are always patterned. This is done by the unicorns when they rise to the rank. Some non-alphas have varying shades of brown and gray and black, however. But white is most common.) Backstory time~ Wren lived an ordinary life for any winged wolf-- raised by the pack alongside her siblings and such and such. However, when Rose (her aunt) was watching them as the pack hunted (she was still a pup at this point), she snuck away with her brother, Skye. They just planned to play around and maybe try flying for the first time, but when Sky attempted to do so her was snatched up by the wind and cast into a tree, some twenty feet up, where he was stuck. Wren managed to get up to try and help him, but got stuck as well. When Wren tried to get Skye to try and fly, he fell and was unable to fly. He, as a result, crashed into the ground and injured his wing. The pack found them at this point, and they brought Skye to the unicorns, who had immense healing abilities. Although they managed to heal the wound, his wing was broken beyond repair, and her brother was doomed to be forever flightless (feel free to play dramatic music here). Wren felt guilty, but her brother consoled her by saying that it wasn't her fault. This did nothing, of course, to ease her guilt, and it didn't help when Dawn began to shun her and cast her off as a daughter. Years passed... (btw winged wolves age at the same rate as humans) Wren is sixteen now, and she still feels guilty for her brother's still unmended wing. (Unmended... is that a word? Am I spelling it wrong? Un-men-ded. Unmended. Mended... not mended... dismended? I'm just gonna stick with unmended) Dawn still shuns her, and Crag has died, the alpha male replacement being Snow. As they're hunting, they find-- DUN DUN DUN-- a LONE WOLF!!! that is injured and unconscious. Since they're noble wolves that live by the old laws, they take him to their rendezvous site and kind of patch him up (he's not so badly injured that they have to take him to the unicorns) and when he wakes up, he says his name is Vale. Do they fall in love? Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe.... >u< There's a lot more.... Maybe I should make a separate project about this.... Well, enjoy this one for now!! I drew Wren, the backdrop, and the name, and coded the floaty namey-thing. The song is "Buy the Stars" by Marina and the Diamonds. (Yes, I realize I use that song for like, everything, but I LOVE it and I feel like it fits in really well here.) Man, that backdrop... those stars will be the death of me >u<
