ghhHFHGNNn i love this character so much!! so pretty!! very precious!! she was so much fun to draw (especially her ears ooohhh my goosshh) and i am so in love,,!! i really hope i get her cause im already very attached to this baby :'0 but anyways!! i'll just get onto the bio cause y'all are probably bored of me freaking out over how cute this design is :'^))) -- Name: Safiya Artemin First Name Meaning: Pure Last Name Origin: Modified version of "Artemis", the Greek goddess of the moon Gender: Female Age: 22 years Species: Dog (Tibetan Spaniel/Boykin Spaniel mix) Job/Occupation: Waitress Personality: Calm and collected, Safiya is a very gentle soul. She always remembers her "please"s and "thank you"s, and will do just about anything to solve a conflict. She often finds herself a mediator between her friends, which is a job that she does well. Safiya has a very high level of self control, and only rarely does she let her negative emotions bubble out. She has long since come to terms with her partial blindness, and has learned to navigate and go about life even without most of her sight. Likes: Winter, silky smooth textures, relaxing in pools, blueberries, pineapples, the scent of lavender, jean material, misty mornings, most music, string instruments, night time and the moon Dislikes: Extreme heat, itchy sweaters, loud people, excessively loud music, hats, and cats (so moody!) Friends: Skylight, Lemon Lime, Tic-Tac, Aero, Green Tea, Sam Relationship Status: Taken (Icarus) Backstory: Safiya was born with nearly perfect eyesight, and had dreams of becoming a well-known writer. However, as she neared her seventeenth birthday, her sight began to deteriorate at an alarming rate- nobody could seem to figure out the exact cause, but cataracts were quickly developing in both of her eyes. By the time her eighteenth birthday had rolled around, her vision was nearly gone, and she could only make out blurry shapes and light. Due to the amount of strain this would put on her eyes as they would continue to try and focus, she took to wrapping a bandage around her eyes ever since. However, on occasion, you can sometimes catch her sitting on her porch, gazing wistfully up at the starry night sky. Present day: Currently, Safiya lives alone in a small two bedroom one bathroom house, but is often accompanied by her boyfriend of two years, Icarus. They met at a pharmacy, both of them buying fresh bandages for their eyes. They struck up conversation, and eventually, a relationship blossomed, despite him being a cat which she had previously not been fond of. Recently, she's found a job at a small local diner, which is where she happened to meet her best friend and coworker, a waiter named Skylight.
