Description

I wonder...should I make a better version of this using Scratch 1.4's list feature? --- Welcome! And thank you for taking to time to view this project. In these instrustions, we will first go over editing points. Next we will talk about how to animate Then we will discuss "special objects." Once we have finished those, we will make a general overview of the interface. Ready? Lets begin! EDITING POINTS. Let's first begin by discussing points. In order to do anything with a point, you must first select it. To do this, you simply click on the point. Once you have selected the point, it should turn lime green. I you want to move the point, simply click and draw it. If you click anywhere besides the tool bar or the selected point itself, you will disselect the point. HOW TO ANIMATE In this project, animation actions are organized by steps. You dictate the amount of time that is to elaps by the time the point reaches its destination. To select which point you want to edit, click on it.(it should now be lime green. Rember?) Now determin wich step you want to edit by moving the "step" slider (for now set it to "1") Next, click and draw your point to the place you want it to travel to... Good! Next set the time you want it to take to get to that point with the "time" slider. Once you have done all of tat, click on the "NW PT"(new point) button. The new point button saves the setting you just made to the that point.(on the step you have indicated by the step slider.) Just remember. -Select the step you wan to edit. -Select and drag the point or object you want to edit to the disired destination. -Allot(give) the amount of time you want it to take. -Press the "NW PT" button and your ready to edit the next point! NOTE: If you set the desitation for step 0, that is equle to the point's starting position. The time setting dose not apply here. SPECIAL OBJECTS. Every thing about points that you just learned applies to special objects(objects) also. However, there are several more functions available from objects since they do not draw line, but rather a the drawing themselevs.(I.E. They are sprites that you can instruct in where they are to move.) The settings include: -Size -Look -ROT.(rotation.) The size sets to size that the object will be throughout the animation. To set this you: Select the object. Then you click the size button and hold the left mouse button down. The mouse's distance from the object determins it's size. When you are done scaling,(changing the object's size) release the left mouse button. To the look of the object, selects the disired object and he click the look button untill the object has the desired apperence.(if you want more options, download this project and draw more costumes for the "obj" sprites. You can also add more objects in if you download it. Simply copy and past. Also remeber to set the reset location.{indicated} by a comment next the the correct code.) To set the object's rotation for that step. Select the object and click and hold the "ROT." button. Move the mouse accordingly untill the object points in the disered direction. GENERAL INTERFACE OVERVIEW: Although we will review the interface alittle in this section, this section will mainly deal with the things we haven't discussed yet. -ERASE ALL DATA(resets all object and vertex(point) settings.) ANIMATE!(You can guess what this button dose. It animates your work of course!) Every thing in this project was created and draw and desighned by me.(NXTGeek) I will give credit to add zero, cyclone103, monkeypiefairy, and others who have instpired me to create this project.
