It took me longer to write this backstory than Aquillon's :l I am so in love with this wittle guy and his backstory. XD -name: Hazard. It used to be Sparrow when he was a normal cat, but when he got like this, the cats of the forest gave him the name Hazard because he was such a great danger to the whole world. -species: cat, but was mutated with acid -In love with Songbird -hates Songbird's new lover -weakness is water -powers: When he flies, he creates acid rain. Whatever natural living thing he touches, he dissolves, so he can't dissolve stone or dirt. He is toxic from inside to out, don't lick anything he's melted!!!!! I don't know why you would anyway :P He also is entirely radioactive. I know he looks evil, but really, he's just a poor soul who doesn't know how dangerous he really is. credits: song: Radioactive by Imagine dragons drawn on: FireAlpaca text: cooltext.com DTA hosted by: @Silverfeather84 I really hope I get this character, I worked so hard :) backstory: Hazard, well his name wasn't Hazard back then, his name was Sparrow, was in love with a beautiful white, gray, and ginger she-cat named Songbird, and today he was going to ask her to be his mate. As he was hunting, he couldn't stop thinking about her. Then, he caught whiff of rabbit, Songbird's favorite, and although it would be exceedingly hard to catch, he tracked the scent to the largest rabbit he had ever seen. However only half his thoughts were focused on the rabbit, if not less. He was so distracted thinking about Songbird that he didn't realize that the rabbit had veered to the left and he was running straight towards a human science facility where they were doing extremely dangerous experiments involving highly corrosive and toxic acids. He closed his eyes, imagining the blissful days he would have as Songbird's mate, he pictured three kits who looked like the combined versions of him and Songbird, and they were theirs. He imagined spending the rest of his days with her and their kits growing up to have kits of their own and-- Suddenly, his body was filled with pain, every single part of his body seemed like ten sets of fiery claws were raking over every cubed inch of his body from the inside and out; the scientists had started the experiment the moment he tumbled into the pool of acid. By the time the scientists noticed the cat that had gotten mixed up in the experiment, it was too late. A toxic green cat rose from the acid, apparently now immune to the effects. It seemed as if he had smashed his jaw into a brick wall, for now it was jagged and crooked. His pupils seemed to have enlarged until they took up his entire eye. Finally, two acid green wings seemed to be levitating over his shoulders. Terrified out of his wits, he bounded out of the acid pool, spraying it on two nearby scientists who shrieked with pain. He broke through the caution tape surrounding the pool, but some of it remained stuck to his legs and tail. He lifted off the ground and flew high into the sky, and wherever he flew, his flapping wings rained acid down on the placid moor. He landed close to the den of Songbird, dissolving the flowers he touched. Oblivious to his new form, and his heart pounding, he padded into Songbird den. Songbird, who was eating a mouse, looked up and screamed. Hazard was confused, why was she scared? He stepped forward and Songbird pressed herself as close to the back of her den as possible. "Get away from me!" she screamed. This confused Hazard even more. "It's just me, Sparrow." he explained taking another step forward. Songbird dashed nimbly through the gap between him and the wall of the den. Hazard followed, brushing the wall of the den and melting a hole into it. Songbird was hiding up a tree, her eyes wide with terror. "What's wrong with you?!" she screamed, "It's like you've turned into some acidic monster!" "Okay, I know you're joking!" Hazard laughed. "I've been meaning to ask you this for a long time now, but didn't know quite how to say it without sounding completely awkward," he confessed, "But I'm not afraid of that anymore, I know you've loved me too and still will even if I make a fool of myself. So it's time for me to be brave...Will you be my mate?" he asked, gazing up at her with loving eyes. Songbird's eyes brimmed with tears. "I would love to, but--" She started. Hazard brightened. "We can't." Hazard felt like his heart had been dissolved by the acid he had so foolishly fallen into. "I would have said yes anytime before now, but look at what you've become. You're a danger to the world. We can't be together." She crawled down the tree and went away into the woods. but Hazard was glued to the spot. What was she talking about? What had changed about him?

Description

backstory continued: He flew up into the air, still befuddled and trying to figure this out. He was so focused on his thoughts that he had no idea that his wings were raining acid on the forest below, but Songbird did, and had to dodge several drops herself. She bumped into a cat whose name was Tiger, and he led her to his den which was outside the rain. She poured out her soul to him and he sympathized, and slowly, the two fell in love. Songbird eventually loved him more than she had ever loved Hazard, or Sparrow, who was the real cat she loved. When Hazard landed, and went to find a den. He spotted a hollow tree, but when he stepped into it, he found Tiger and Songbird sleeping together. Songbird looked way more content than she ever had when she had been with Hazard. In a rage, he yowled his fury. Tiger and Songbird woke up with a start. Tiger shoved Songbird behind him and unsheathed his claws, ready to defend her with his life. Hazard was lashing his tail and didn't notice that it was dissolving the hollow tree. "What do YOU want?" Tiger hissed. "I want my mate back!" Hazard spat back. "Songbird wouldn't be mates with a monster like you!" he yowled. Hazard, who only had eyes for the cowering she-cat and the brown tabby tom who stood between them. "I never agreed to be your mate...we can't," Songbird cried. "YES, we can," responded Hazard, and if this remark was meant to be comforting to the she-cat, it did quite the opposite, "Nothing's really changed abut me, no matter what you think, I'm still the same cat you can start a life with, not this piece of filth," he finished by unsheathing his claws, which dripped with toxic acid and he hissed at Tiger. Tiger grabbed his moss bedding in a flash and tossed it onto Hazard's head. Hazard stumbled backward as it took a minute for the moss to splat to the ground in a pile of melted goo. During this fiasco, Tiger grabbed Songbird by the scruff and quickly dragged her out of the den and into the forest. Hazard yowled with such force that if any glass objects had been around, they would be nothing more that tiny shards. He destroyed the whole forest in his attempt to find Songbird and destroy Tiger. Once there was no place left for Tiger and Songbird to hide, and Hazard was still oblivious to what he did, he charged. Everything seemed to go in slow motion as Tiger grabbed a long stick that had somehow escaped Hazard and knocked him into a pond. Hazard screamed and unbearable pain coursed through him once more. His body smoked as he melted away into harmless liquid. before he died he got a glimpse of what he had done, and finally realizing the monster he had become, physically and emotionally, a single tear leaked from his eye, and he gazed at Songbird for the last time before he was gone. Songbird broke into sobs a few seconds afterward. Although he had done all this, he knew he had really cared about her and she had actually loved him. Tiger wiped her tears away and they traveled to a different forest where they found a den, raised two beautiful litters of kits, and lived together for the rest of their lives, while Hazard/Sparrow watched from above.
