Her true form is an Ardarian, a half horse half dragon Hybrid that I made up, please don't copy. She is queen of ardarians, who live in underneath ardaria (equestria caves.) and train in the ways of the elements. They all have three forms, ardarian, pony and dragon. Being royalty, she has two elements, Lightning and Fire. Her mane and tail (arrowhead in dragon and ardarian form) light on fire and can eventually spread to her whole body.
