-chapter 3- "How close are we to the base?" Aqueous asked Jewel. "We're almost there, we just have to go over this hill." Jewel said as her eyes where focused at looking ahead. When Jewel and her parents made it to the top of the hill, they all looked in horror at what was happening below. Wave and Storm where lying on the ground unconscious while Jet was being suspended in the air by a familiar echidna that go's by the name Dr.Finitevus, who now was wearing a breathing device to keep himself alive (I mean, come on, the guy was already old when knuckles was a kid). Oddly enough, Dr.Finitevus was sporting some extreme gear of his own, his board was circular and was colored black with orange stripes. His headgear was a pair of glasses with white frames and orange lenses, the lenses also seemed to be like a computer screen that he was able to look through. Jewel then suddenly shouted "Dad!" as she flew up to face Dr.Finitevus who was holding Jet by the wrist. "Let go of him now!" Jewel yelled as rage surged through her body. "If you say so." Dr.Finitevus said with a cruel smile on his face as he let go of Jet's wrist. Jewel then dived down and grabbed Jet, but it was to little to late, it only slowed Jet's fall, sending both Jewel and Jet to the ground with Jet taking the brunt of the fall. Dr.Finitevus then said, "So long, I've gotten what I came here for." He then left. Aqueous and Orchid then helped Jewel who was starring at Jet with tears in her eyes. "Is he okay?" Jewel asked her parents. "I don't know, but what I do know is we need to get him and those two to the hospital, stat!" Aqueous said as he picked up Storm, and Orchid picked up Wave. "I agree." Jewel said as she picked up Jet and rushed him to the hospital as fast as she could. After that was accomplished, she rushed Wave and Storm to the hospital and then gave her parents a ride to the hospital as well. So for a couple of hours, Jewel, Orchid, and Aqueous where sitting in the waiting room waiting to get news on how Jet, Wave, and Storm where doing. Finally, the doctor came out and told them the news on how the Babylon Rouge's where doing. "Wave and Storm will make a full recovery after a night or so, but Jet, I'm afraid, will be paralyzed waist down for the rest of his life." The doctor said. After stating the grim news, the doctor left. A couple minutes later, after secretly crying all that time, Jewel wiped away her tears, and in desperation to change the subject, asked her parents, "What happened to make you lose me anyways?" Aqueous then sighed heavily and answered, "Finitevus wanted to use you for another one of his experiments, so we hid you inside a treasure chest that was in a cavern to keep you safe. And when Dr.Finitevus gave up looking for you, we went back to the cavern to get you, but when we opened the chest, you where gone." After a few minutes of silence, Orchid looked at the clock that hung on the wall over the front desk and said, "It's getting late, we should probably get going." So they went back home. After Jewel finally fell asleep she woke up in the middle of a street in the city, and there was one odd thing about the city, it was colorless and lifeless. "Huh? what's going on?" Jewel said in a frightened and worried tone. She looked around, there was no other living thing in sight, just a white city and a never-ending bare white landscape. After looking around for a while Jewel finally found her hover board. "Well, at least I've got this." She said to herself as she got on it an rode off in search of an exit or at least another life form. after riding around in the city for a couple of hours and doing some hover board tricks effortlessly Jewel decided to call it quits for a wile so she could rest. And then suddenly, as she was about to does off, a part of the city regained it's color. Then the answer to the mystery of this odd place finally came to Jewel's mind. "I can't believe it, I've only heard stories about this place. And if what I think is correct, then I have to fly around this place as fast as I can to restore color and life to it." Jewel then made haste to grab her hover board and ride out once more. And she didn't only just ride around the place, she did an innumerable amount of tricks as well, like corkscrews, barrel rolls, hang tens, rail grinds, flips, 180s, 360s, spins, and every other trick imaginable just to diminish her boredom. When she was finally done, Jewel exited the city to see if there were anymore places to fix. And to Jewel's delight, right outside the city, there stood her parents. They had a happy reunion as Jewel explained where they were and also explained her theory of how they got there and how they'll be able to get out. After this, Aqueous said, "Well then, let's go fix this place up and get out of here!" Jewel then said, I think I'll be able to do it alone, it's just a quick ride through the places, nothing more.
