When it is your turn, click a button to select an action. The sword button attacks. The backpack button allows you to choose an item. The stars button performs a special attack, costing 8 SP. The magnifying glass button tells you the Shifter's current HP and SP. Press space to advance text. Don't let your HP drop to 0. Try to defeat the Shifter.
