Characters from a book I wrote <3 Mali and Poppy SPOILERS FOR THE BOOK BELOW!!!!!!!! Mali and Poppy were in a forbidden relationship, and when Poppy had cubs, two died at birth, but one survived. Another lion named Delami (who didn't like the pride Mali was from because a different lion from the same pride had killed his sister) threw Poppy's remaining cub in the river. Poppy thought she was dead (but she really wasn't) and was exiled by her father, Kego. Poppy found Mali and told him about what had happened to their cubs, but before they had spent a lot of time together, two lions from Mali's pride (their names were Blood and Roar) found them together. Mali stood up to them to protect Poppy, and was killed. The lions were going to kill Poppy too, but the fire of revenge burned in her so much that she said she would join their pride if they spared her (hoping that maybe one day she would kill them)
