Instructions

Some kids have emo Creepypasta OCs. Some kids have rainbow heart cat OCs. Some kids have glittery kawaii dog OCs. And they're said mean things. Like this: "Cringe factor extreme" "Cringey OC" "That's cringey" Let me translate it for you: "I hate this" "Your imagination sucks" "You're bad at creating" IF YOU'RE TELLING KIDS THAT THEIR OCS ARE CRINGEY OR BAD, YOU'RE CONSTRICTING THEIR IMAGINATION. Seriously. Do you really think that a kid would want to make an OC they love and then be told it's "Cringey"? Guys. You're destroying kids' imaginations. Think back to your first set of OCs. Were they well-thought out? Did they look normal? Did they have an equal set of strengths and weaknesses? Look, all I'm saying is that kids should be allowed to think what they want to and create what they want to. Without people telling them it's wrong. Who cares if someone likes what you don't? Opposites attract. These kids (maybe they're not kids, who knows) are losing their self-confidence because they believe the mean things that people say. So... the next time you see an OC you don't particularly like, tell the creator good job. You could either fill a bucket or empty it out. How someone feels is up to you and the things you write. But, don't just think this means you can praise them. No, I'm not saying to bully them, just offer some constructive criticism. Like, point out the things you do like and then offer some help. It'll speed up their art process. That's all <3
