Instructions

Easy Pen Art 3 (Peacock Plumes) - Click Flag to Run. Draws the same Spiral "# Spirals" times in "# Colours" different (starting) colours. Move mouse to top part of the Screen to change them. Move mouse to bottom part of the Screen to alter the (NEW) Angle Change, 100ths & Step Size parameters. Click the Stage (or the Flag) to start the next drawing. Turn Turbo Mode on (Shift-Green Flag - also turns it off when it's on) to get to the final result quickly. With its new features my favourite "# Spirals" is probably 12, combined with "# Colours" set to 1. But with that combination there is an endless supply of amazing patterns that can be drawn by varying the "Angle Change", "100ths" and "Step Size" values. The "angle" is changed by "Angle Change" + "100ths". My favourite 33 combinations of those are shown below as ("Angle Change"."100ths" "Step Size"): (0.1 5) (3.02 7) (8.15 8) (16.99 8) (22.03 6) (29.05 8) (38.1 10) (49.02 10) (61.26 7) (72.03 7) (77.41 7) (82.06 8) (88.97 9) (97.66 8) (122.5 7) (152.71 6) (178 8) (190.56 6) (201.01 9) (280.01 6) (287.54 9) (292.03 8) (302 8) (327.22 8) (329.48 7) (331.37 7) (344.1 10) (350.19 8) (351.85 8) (354.45 6) (356.03 8) and (33.58 10) & (114.38 8) that work best with 30 Spirals.

Description

Created by @gregatku for use in Coding Classes for Kids Unlimited, for whom I work as a Coding teacher. Sample project to show kids how, by repetitively making minor changes to a few drawing parameters, like pen-size, colour or turn angle, some interesting Pen Art can be created. We want kids to use these and other ideas they can find by looking in the Spiral Art Studio or searching for other "Pen Art", to come up with their own unique and creative pieces of Pen Art. Another lesson to learn from this exercise is that each Clone has its own Pen and so we can get multiple Pens drawing simultaneously.
