Description

FINALLY DONE AAA This was so stressful. Warning: Cover picture is about the best of the pictures, this is quite rushed. nO IT'S NOT ASHFUR ||||||||Music: Jaymes Young, I'll be good ||||||||Programs used: Firealpaca & Scratch ||||||||Story: Mazedogs ||||||||Summary: So, this "gifted one"/werewolf/dude is disturbed by the fact that the settlers/etc. in allanir are, well, in this case it's burning trees, and that's the main thing that sets him off, but it's a lot more complex than just that-- not only does it obviously endanger the wolves, but as you can hopefully see in the second scene there, some of the trees in the forest glow blue, spruces I guess, and these are very... sacred to the wolves. I really need to make a project with all the worldbuilding stuff sometime, but in wolf culture/religion those trees are "pathway trees" and they carry wolf spirits to and from the moon (yes, "and from"-- they make the travel up and back every month, causing the phases of the moon. In their form on earth they're like blue sparks and they help the wolves out. The wolves howl to keep touch, I guess? And from the moon they kind of... recharge, I guess? I don't know for sure if the blue sparks are the wolf spirits or wolf magic, it's still a work in progress.) There's also a connection between these trees/wolf spirits and wolf magic. When a pathway tree is cut down, persay, it doesn't tend to affect the wolf spirits too much-- those on the moon or on the ground find another tree to use, and those going through the tree when it was cut down can do the same. It can, however be very frustrating to the packs near the pathway tree, particularly if they aren't near any others, for it makes it much harder for wolf spirits to visit and help them, and a lot harder to bury their dead under one, and it's very, very frustrating to them. But it's a bit worse when a pathway tree burns. The affects on wolf spirits on the moon or the earth, or the wolves themselves, are the same, but the wolves going through the pine needles, while not destroyed, are subjected to serious pain and lack of power-- possibly unable to find another pathway tree. It's... not good. So yeah. Eventually, according to the wolves, it won't really matter, a lot of stuff happens at the end of the world (in their religion) but they are stuck that way until then, ground-bound and powerless. Soo, that explains the first three scenes! Sort of! ;n; Now, explanation of the rest: Werewolves/gifted ones: Werewolves are the highest concentration (possibly) of wolf magic. They stay aloof from packs, and are pretty much able to give orders to most anyone. It's also said that they began/were the source of human-dog bonds, so native northerners (allanir is to the north of the rest of the world of mazedogs) respect them highly for that. Southerners, of course, are creeped out by them a lot, and they are the ones who call them "werewolves". Mazedogs, northerners, and wolves all call them "gifted ones" or "spirit tails", because their tails, in wolf form, glow blue (like the pathway trees). In human form they don't have shadows. For some reason they have really long lifespans. They also seem to have a bit of a duty to protect the balance between humans and wolves, which is what this guy is so mad about. [I'm still not completely sure if this upcoming story will actually be a part of the mazedogs plot or anything, just one possible idea.] With the southern settlers burning pathway trees, things are definitely losing balance. So he gets really upset over it, of course, and... possibly decides to start up a war against them, to get dogs, wolves, and northerners, to all basically unite against their south. At some point he runs into Sam, who apologizes for the actions of his people, and... Idk. YAAY I really need to go now bye
