Description

I woke up, and I still remembered. It hit me like an anvil. “Are you okay?” Jayfeather could tell something was wrong. None of the other medicine cats had woken up. “We need to get back to camp.” Jayfeather looked confused. “Why?” “I need to tell you something, and no one else can know!” We walked back to camp, but we stopped in a safe place. “Jayfeather, I remembered my past.” Jayfeather tried to say something, but I continued. “I remember the past 600 moons of my life, before I was a cat. After I visited StarClan, I remembered all of my life, and the pain of it. You have no idea how bad being experimented on is.” Jayfeather looked at me as if I was crazy. “I used to be a twoleg. A very unusual twoleg. Please don’t tell anyone! Please.” Jayfeather wasn’t responding. “Jayfeather?” I poked him, and he fell over. There were claw marks along his back, like an eagle attacked him, but couldn’t get a grip. “NO! Jayfeather! You can’t die now! I don’t know enough about herbs! Please don’t die!” But is was too late. I had to get back to camp, but I couldn’t leave Jayfeather’s body out, foxes could take him! It took me a long time to take his body back to camp. Everyone was horrified. I showed them where he was killed, but there was no scent. When we got back to camp, we mourned Jayfeather. “I may not have known him very long, but he has helped me. Fortunately, I know a little about herbs, and I will ask Jayfeather in StarClan if he can help teach me in my dreams. I will miss you Jayfeather.” Everyone gave mini-speeches, and we buried him. It took me a long time to fall asleep that night. When I did fall asleep, Jayfeather was at my beach. “Jayfeather, why did you have to die?” “Because I had to, and now I must tell you something.” Many things will threaten the one deaths of many, unseen attackers there is one cat who is more dangerous than most corrupted by love with strive to take what he wants “Jayfeather, what do you mean?” “You must seek out Leafpool to teach you how to be a medicine cat.” “Jayfeather, don’t go!” But I was already waking up. “Ravenpaw, are you ok? You were making enough noise to wake up the clan!” I opened my eyes, and saw BrambleStar’s face. “I need to talk to Leafpool.” BrambleStar looked surprised. “Jayfeather gave me a prophecy, and told me to ask Leafpool to teach me how to be a medicine cat.” “What is the prophecy?” I took a deep breath “Many things will threaten the one deaths of many, unseen attackers there is one cat who is more dangerous than most corrupted by love with strive to take what he wants” “What does it mean?” “I don’t know, but StarClan gave me another prophecy” By this time, Leafpool was here. “What is is BrambleStar? You said you needed me.” “Ravenpaw can explain” “Leafpool, Jayfeather told me in my dreams to come to you to teach me how to be a medicine cat.” But they were gone. I saw a face. A terrible face. One scarred, and bloody. It had ripped and bloody eartips, and the figure said “I will have my revenge. He should have never stolen her from me!” An then it was gone. I was back in the medicine cat den. “Ravenfeather, are you ok?” “I-I-I’m fine Leafpool. Nothing’s wrong.” BrambleStar left, assuming that Leafpool would know everything that she needed to know. “Featherpaw and Jayfeather, killed on the same day. Leafpool, do you know what this means?” “I don’t know.” Leafpool answered “Both had injuries far worse than any cat could inflict. Like they were attacked by eagles” But she was gone, and it was already late. -------------- Tick Tick Tick Tick I feel every second racing by every day of living every moon of learning how to be a medicine cat I can’t stand it. ---------------- I will be attending the gathering for the 5th time next sunrise. We have two cases of fever, and BrambleStar has greencough. Jayfeather’s garden is still being taken care of, it was a good idea too. BrambleStar is doing fairly well, and he is almost cured. Nothing much else happened today. Well, almost nothing. Wait until you hear about what happened this sunrise. -------------- “Who are you?” I had seen a cat, who looked like Crowfeather. “My name? Breezepelt.” “Well, who ever you are, get off of ThunderClan territory. I can fight well enough for a medicine cat.” He laughed “A medicine cat? Oh, I am so scared.” After that, he left without a trace. We would out that Jayfeather’s garden was destroyed, and that there was prey blood in our territory. Something was destroying everything we needed to survive Leafbare. And we were going to find out soon. But for now, goodnight. --------------- A girl, so lost will find her way to see the truth and save the clans but later, much later a darkness will emerge to swallow her whole and destroy everything she cares about ---------------- I wake up, hearing something “Ravenpaw, wake up!” I blink a few times, and Leafpool comes into focus. “What is it?” “You have to see for yourself.” I followed Leafpool to Jayfeather’s garden Well, what used to be his garden. It was completely destroyed. The ground was torn up, and all of the plants were ripped to shreds. It reeked of Breezepelt. “Leafpool, I think a rogue must have done this, at least, that cat smelled like a rogue.” Leafpool didn’t answer She was shaking hard. “Leafpool?” Leafpool whispered something. “Breezepelt” --------------- We reported this to BrambleStar, and we left for the gathering. It was a colder night than usual, one of the coldest nights this moon. I shivered. “It’s quite cold, but at least it isn’t windy.” “I wonder what has happened to ShadowClan.” “I hope RiverClan doesn’t have greencough, I already can’t stand the smell of them.” Some clan cats talked, but I walked in silence. We were the last to arrive. BrambleStar started, then everyone looked up. Up at the moon. The Bloodred moon.
