Sandwings are dragons whose scale colors can range from beige to bright yellow, usually the color of the sand they surround themselves with. Sandwings tend to be good flyers, but not very good at navigating through trees. They like to live in heated environments with lots of sand nearby, preferably a desert or beach. On the end of every Sandwing's tail is a poisonous barb that can inject a deadly poision into a dragon if it's stabbed into them.
Queen Xerophilous (Xero)(image): Xero is a relatively peaceful queen. She cares deeply for her family and tribe. With her king at her side she rules the sand kingdom with a soft but powerful talon. Her rise to power was a bit bloody. In her succession battle she incinerated her mother, scaring most of her family off. Dispite this she's rather sweet. She has two eggs on the way and has hired bounty hunters to find and bring her family back. King Lizzard: Once a humble servant to the past queen, Princess Xero fell in love with him. Knowing that the queen wound not approve they plotted for Princess Xero to take the throne. After careful planing, Princess Xero took the throne and marred him. Princess Cairo: Constantly living it fear of the queen, princess Cairo would never think of challenging her sister. Roaming the halls of the palace she is skittish and trys to avoid contact with the queen. (Ex) King Swelter: Currently on the run, he is the past king. He as allied with a few of the gangs. Knowing that he has no chance of retaking the throne, his main focus is avoiding his daughter, the queen, despite the fact she has no reason to kill him and frankly might want to have him over to meet the new king. Gangs: The sand kingdom is not only ruled by the royal family. Gangs rule the small towns outside of the Queen's reach. Distributing water and food as well as drugs and explosives, they are a mix of good and evil. Some are ruled by dragons that wish to do good but are not part of the royal family others are ruled by greedy dragons who wish to make a fortune out of the vast sand kingdom. (If you wish to found a gang it will be listed here, you may also join any gangs listed.) Guardians of the Scorpion: This is the gang that rules the scorpion den. Said to be the gang of Viper (see myths and legends) it has a firm grip on the den. There intentions can be debated but there leader Coyote (image) keeps a spotless reputation for the gang. Dragons of the Oasis: Leader: Venom Amber Scrarabs Leader: Cinder Sandwing Stronghold: Rather than the typical elegant castles of the other tribes the sandwing royalty lives in a thick walled fortress. The blunt and flat apprentice of the stronghold does not go all the way inside. Each room is excellently decorated with tapestry and rugs, each of the finest quality. While a portion of the stronghold is for the royal family only there are may dragons that live in the housing provided there. Most of them are servants to the queen and need to be close by to serve her at all times others are soldiers ready to defend the stronghold at all costs and a few are citizens who chose to live in the safely of the walls. Its cramped, most dragons only get one small room per dragon but the protection from the gangs of the sand kingdom it worth the price for those who live there. Scorpion Den: The scorpion den is a hive of scum and villany. Many dragons that live there are on the run or desperate for money. Despite the the fact the there are none of the queen's troops to enforce the law it's fairly peaceful because of the gangs that enforce the law. Unless the gangs are at war they help the dragons that live there, providing access to the watering hole near the center of the city and keeping the water clean. Because of this the community thrives and many venders line the narrow streets city.
