The aim of this project is to experiment with the McCollough effect. Please read more about it here before continuing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McCollough_effect (but try not to focus on the images too much, it might affect the results of my experiment) Since this has the potential to alter your perception of colours, I wouldn't advise continuing if you are a graphic designer etc. who needs to work with precise colours. My idea was to see if this effect will work with arbitrary line angles, with the hue dependent on the angle. When you start up the project (fullscreen recommended), you should see a set of rotating black-and-white bars. Take as long as you like to familiarise yourself with this - do you notice any unusual effects? At this point, you probably won't see anything particularly unusual. When you are ready, press space to switch to "training" mode. The screen will switch between different angles and colours of the bars with a short delay in between. For the best effects, you should watch this for as long as you can - maybe listen to some music or a podcast etc. in the background. When you are done, press space again to return to the previous mode with the rotating black-and-white bars. Do you see any interesting effects? Personally, I see a faint rainbow effect that runs perpendicular to the bars. I'd also be interested to see how long the effects last for. Try bookmarking this page and come back tomorrow! Now that you have read *all* the instructions carefully, type "OK" to actually start the project.
