Star Trek: The Game - By: BoltBait Version: 1.5 - Development time: 39 hours My previous game, Adventure, had over 75 unique locations. This game? 15,000!!! The universe is HUGE! It also includes animations, like getting a message from Admiral T'Mar of Star Fleet Headquarters and the animated star field of the forward view port. Use the long range scanner to find enemies and warp to new locations. The short range scanner is where most of the action happens. Use photon torpedos and phasers to defeat enemy ships, then orbit planets to restock supplies by sending down an away team. You can also get a status report, repair the ship as necessary, or get energy out of dilithium crystals. This game includes real Star Trek sound effects, acting by my daughter (as Admiral T'Mar), and professional looking graphics. If Star Trek isn't your thing, try one of my other games. ----------------------------- How to play: Click on the buttons on the left to select Long Range Scanner (LONG), Status Report (STATUS), and Short Range Scanner (SHORT). Each of those screen include various buttons at the top of the screen for the things you can do on that screen. LONG ------- Click in the grid to warp to the desired sector. STATUS ---------- You can't send an away team unless your shields are down and you are orbiting a planet. You can tell if you are orbiting a planet if you can see it below the ship. -Adjust the shields power level by clicking on the shields bar. -Click the Convert button to get power out of Dilithium Ore. -You must be orbiting a planet to repair the ship. SHORT --------- Click on an enemy ship to shoot it. -Click in an empty space to travel there. -Click on a planet to see what resources it has. -If you are right next to a planet, click on it to orbit it. -Raise shields (shown as a green ring) to protect your ship from enemy fire. ----------------------------- How to win: The game is won when all enemy ships have been destroyed. Your final score is displayed as the star date when you complete your mission. The faster you win the game, the better. If your Available Power, Shields, and Dilithium Ore all go to 0 (at the same time), you lose the game. Keep a close eye on your status screen! Live Long and Prosper This game is based on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and characters created by Gene Roddenberry.
