Use the up key to move forward, the left and right keys to turn to the side, and the down key to turn around. If you're in front of something, you can press the up key to go near it. If you see an NPC, if it has a ! sign over its head, you can click it to talk to it. If you see a door, click it to open it, then press the up arrow to go through.
