This is part 1 of The Hunt for Herobrine, a story that takes place in a server called YokoCraft. The character to the left is me, LiamMorgaine, and the character to the right is Mountainman, Also Known As @TechnolgyGuy. You might find a funny message in the notes if you viewed this before it was finished. For some reason, the scroll bar didn't work while it was unshared, so yea. Weird.
=====INTRODUCTION===== Me and Tech were just playing on Yokocraft on sunday, the 22nd of December 2013. We kept on playing, not focussing on much, when somebody said they saw Herobrine. Then, WormKid109 (the owner of YokoCraft) said that he had added Herobrine to the server. Then an idea popped into my mind: Why not find him? Tech (aka Mount) thought that was a great idea, so he decided to come with me. =====SETTING UP===== First, we had to set up. Now, I didn't take a lot of stuff, I just went to my epic fort and got a couple supplies. These included.. • My Quartz Pickaxe (best in the game) • A Diamond Sword (WOOT!) • 5 Diamonds (Never know when you'll need 'em!) • No Armor • 19 Cooked Porkchops (I gave 10 to Mount, though) • 26 Jungle Wood ( = 104 planks!) After that, we started to explore. =====THE BEGINNING WAS A FAILURE===== We were exploring the terrain around my fort, which was in the Roofed Forest 2 Biome. We eventually found a cave, but it was on the brim of YcCity, a city made by bob, aka TheCreator. Note: TheCreator did not create YokoCraft (lowlz). After exploring the cave throughly, we tried to get out, but we were stuck in it because of a 2-block drop. Why not mine a block and place it, so we could get out? Because we were in a res (protection) made by bob, to protect YcCity. We couldn't place or mine anything there! So, Tech suggested that we do /wild and go to the biome area, so we can pick a different biome to explore, and get out of the "Cave of Doom". =====EXPLORING AGAIN===== After choosing a biome in the biome selection, we decided to look for a cave. I figured that going in a Hills biome would upper the chances of finding a cave, but apparently we couldn't. So, we decided to climb up a hill (which wasn't res protected) and find a cave in the other side of the hills. Actually, while climbing, I saw a mob called a "Demon". I wasn't sure WHAT mod / plugin installed that, but I fought it. It did 2 and a half hearts in each it! It was also holding a golden apple. The mob itself was a skeleton in red-dyed leather armour, and it dropped the apple when it died. I'm not sure if it was a mob or Tech who picked it up, but I know it wasn't me. [ Wow, you've read this far? You must be interested! Thanks! =) ] After that, we saw a sign near where the Demon had spawned: "Beware the Zomspider." I didn't like the sounds of that, but in the end, we never actually saw it. Maybe just something set up by another player? I dunno. And I guess I never will know, unless me or one of my good friends see it. Anyways, we decided to continue climbing the hills. =====EXPLORING AGAIN, PART 2===== Yes, thats true - I have to spilt Exploring Again into 2 parts. Whatever. Actually getting up the hill was sort of difficult, because there was some sort of wall / bridge, and we couldn't get up! That was annoying, so we had to climb back down into the pit thingy we spawned in again. Then, we walked into a cave we saw. We had earlier asked Worm if Herobrine spawns more often in caves, and he said "yes". However, the cave was pretty much a dud, because it only consisted of a fork and 2 dead ends. We climbed back out and surveyed the area again. We were in a pit / valley, surrounded by hills which we couldn't scale. There was also that sign on the side of the mountain, and a cave that was just a dud (thats the technical name for short caves, matter of fact). But then, we saw a rectangular dig-out, which seemed to lead out of the hill. We decided to use it, as it seemed to be our only choice. After sprinting through the hole, we noticed that just behind the mountains was a big gulf full of water, and the mountains had pretty much no grass! They were completely made out of stone! We found that pretty cool. We then saw a hole in the mountain, though it didn't have a cave in it. Then, Tech suggested that we strip-mine, because we weren't having any luck finding caves. I agreed, so we started digging. =====WHERE THE BORING BEGINS===== I don't suggest skipping this, however, because you will miss out on our strategy to mining a cave. Though it still isn't very interesting. =P Now, I dug ahead of Tech because he had an iron pickaxe and I had a quartz pick. A few days (or week or 2) ago, I had asked Worm what Quartz Picks are equivalent to. Worm said iron picks with tons of enchantments. By tons of enchantments, I mean: • Efficiency X (10) • Unbreaking X (10) • Fire Aspect II (2) • Sharpness X (10) So yeah, I dug ahead of Tech. We kept on digging for a while, when I hit some coal and iron. I dug that up as quickly as I mined the stone. Then, we dug some more. I hit MOAR coal and iron, so I decided to smelt it up. Of course, I had to craft a crafting table, which required one wood, then 18 iron for the furnaces. Of course, I had multiple stacks of cobblestone, so I didn't worry about that. In fact, I had 42 iron! In fact, the armor you see on me and Tech in the picture are the sets I crafted for us 2. I also crafted an iron pickaxe for Tech when he ran out. On and on we mined, when all of a sudden, Tech said in the chat, "I found a cave!" =====CAVING===== Caves are cool. I've already told you why, so yeah. Mine. Mine. Mine. Mine. Finally, Tech found a cave. So, we explored it! It wasn't very big, but it would do. We decided not to place torches, because that could involve problems with Herobrine spawning. Or so we thought. Anyways, after exploring it for a while, we saw a pit in the ground. It appeared to be mined out by somebody in real life, a 1 by 1 deep hole. At the bottom we saw some obsidian and light, so we figured it would be a lava pit, and started to mine around it to get down. After a little while with only a few blocks to the ground, Tech jumped down. I guess he rolled, though, because when I leapt down, I died. KeepInventory is true in the build world of YokoCraft, though, so I just /tpa'd to Tech and we were fine. =====FIRST DIAMONDS===== After that, we mined around the lava pit. I mined on a separate side from Tech so that I wouldn't mine him into the lava, because my Quartz Pick (which had really low durability at the time) mined REALLY fast. After we hit the end, I placed some cobblestone in the form of a bridge and climbed across it to the side Tech was on (the left).
