Revised project notes:- ============================== This is a very simple project. ----------------------------------------------- It derives from an idea i had after i had generated some music using scmb 1's mozart's dice composing technique. ------------------------------------------------- I just wondered if a free program i found recently "amazing midi" would work translating a recorded (via synth mixer method) a version of the generated music. ---------------------------------------------- The program works by analysing a wave file and translating /transcribing tones into midi notes.. ----------------------------------------------- (in working and in playback though that which is produced is of piano midi voice etc. it does not translate different instrumental voices .. but there are other more expensive programs like amazing midi that will do that as well.) ----------------------------------------------- It did fairly well and produced a midi file which was then developable via import in linux multi media studio, and ableton software..(both being multitrack/sequencer/samples/synth font mixers/and come with array of filters etc) and when imported into "cubasis notation" or "anvil" a musical score was generated. ----------------------------------------------- The sprite costumes/image files in this project are edited portions of that translated musical score. --------------------------------------------- click the icon at the top of the screen to start the music (developed in ableton software and cool edit pro)derived from the generated midi file. -------------------------------------------- To follow the score use the arrow keys. ------------------------------------------------ to reset to first page use space. right arrow key moves costume/score image forward. left arrow key moves costume/score image backwards. =================== perhaps in a subsequent -different generated file.. i should try and recreate the playback/player that jens used in menuet.. so as to make following notation and score easier..
