So these characters are from a book idea called "AI". In the year XXXX the race to create the first AGI started and quickly spread throughout the world. By XXXX China was in the lead so far, that is to the public eye. The United States were neck and neck with China; nothing was going to set them back this time. Not even the death of the head scientist. The scientist's death put his daughter, Abby, in his place. She was perfectly fit for the job, as all that was left was to put up safety walls to make sure it wouldn't kill all of humanity. Or how the idiots down by the water cooler put it, "Go psycho nutty and kill us all!". Hearing things like that made Abby's teeth grit. It didn't help that they most of the co-workers she had were men. Smug, shallow men.
