Sweetberry shivered. Tonight was cold, colder than she had expected. I shouldn't do this, she thought. But she slunk out of the den and made her way across the moor. A cool breeze battered her fur as she reached the border. Had he come? The bracken rustled. A muscular RiverClan tabby stepped out. "Ripplestrike," she meowed. He leaned in closer. "Oh, Sweetberry, it's been so long since we've spent time together." he meowed in his deep, steady voice. His dark blue eyes shone. "It's only been a quarter moon," whispered Sweetberry. He purred, wrapping his tail around her. "Come on. I'll race you across the moor." The WindClan deputy gasped. "You can't just run along WindClan territory whenever you feel like it." He looked into her eyes, his own gleaming mischievously. "No cat can stop me from doing anything as long as we're together." She purred, "Okay, then. But I bet you can't beat me to the top of that hill." The two warriors raced across the moor as the stars glittered warmly above them.
