On a cold winter night in a alleyway of New York a she-cat named Star gave birth to a litter of 2 healthy kits she named Mitten and Flake.She nursed the kits in a small cardboard box that had a long Light-blue scarf that Star found.They lived happily but one night while Star was being a small dove back to the kits, a animal catcher saw her and followed her back. Star saw the catcher and picked up Mitten by the scruff and placed her under the scarf.While she was grabbing Flake the catcher was already in front of the alleyway, Star looked at the box knowing that if she want to it the Cather would know that mitten was in there. Star put Flake down and stood in front of him, Hissing claws digging into the snow. When the Catcher dent down to grab her she bit him and he's grip tightened, Star tried to get out of his grip but he was to strong and slowly Star stopped moving,Flake cried as the catcher through Star aside and picked up Flake, Mitten was able to see what was happening and wanted to help but she somehow knew that she shouldn't. The Catcher was holding him by the scruff and walked over to his truck and put him in before diving off.When Mitten knows he was gone she got out and want to her mothers side. and dragged her back into the box and curled up close to her hoping that when she wakes it would all be ok. But when she woke up Flake was still gone, Star un-moving. She nuzzles Star one more time before taking the scarf and Running away. Many moons have passed and she is now able to wear the scarf.Now in a small group of friends Hoodie,Chance, and Vix she now has a new family but she will never forget her real family.
