[space to switch between the drawing and the reference] eey been awhile hey it's official i've been sucked into the vortex of readaholicness i've read like at least 6 books since saturday... wildwood imperium, books 2-4 of the flipped fairy tale series by starla huchton, behind the canvas, and wednesday wars. all of which were excellent. however that leaves little time for drawing. soo yeah i've had this sitting around for a couple weeks and i finally got around to finishing it tonight. i really like the outcome! however, there are a bajillion things that i didn't get right... but you know what, maybe i'll draw this again in a few years and i'll have improved. i know i've already grown from drawing this alone. but i gotta get this out of my system so here goes: the colors are too dull the proportions are off i was lazy with the pattern on the shell body i was lazy with the lower shell and just smudged it to get the warped look i didn't get the pattern in the water surface (because i was lazy) (are you sensing a pattern here) did i mention the proportions are off and it should be elongated horizontally and that the colors are way too dull but hey at least it looks like a shell there we go out of the system and if you see any further issues please let me know in the form of constructive criticism ^w^ i drew this a) because i had to for art club lol and b) because i wanted to improve my drawing abilities. so any assistance you give to help me improve is welcomed! oh almost forgot to include the better quality version here we go: http://imaginationsplayground.weebly.com/shell.html
