- Counsel Member Lines - Hey there, Counsel Members! :D Here are your lines for Sun Rising Episode 1. Thanks again for your time and talent! I know it might take extra time, but I would appreciate it if you could please record at least two takes of each line. Also, please know that there is a possibility that I will ask you to re-record. Since I can't be there while you're recording, it is inevitable that we will each have different interpretations of some of the lines, so re-recording is just another part of the process. :-) I will do my best to let you know as soon as possible whether or not I need you to record again so that it hopefully won't be too inconvenient. As for a due date, please pick your own date and comment it below, and I will write it down. :-) Finally, when you are finished with your lines, please do NOT remix this project! God bless and AGAPE on! <33 To @mintfig: Your character, Sir Merek, is somewhat of a snarky, know-it-all individual. He conducts himself with dignity, but perhaps too much dignity at times. Fill free to turn up the drama, especially when you are making a speech. :-) He always speaks with sarcastic overtones, but be sure to add an extra bit of sarcasm to the lines marked accordingly. :-) Oh, and he is not too fond of Selah, and he especially dislikes Madam Ayleth, a fellow Counsel Member. Please record the lines marked "mintfig" and "Everyone." Thanks! To @AppleBear103: You have one extra line in addition to the lines marked "Everyone." I have not developed this character at all (in the script he is identified as Counsel Member 1), so I will let you decide how you want to interpret the character. :-) Please record the lines marked "AppleBear103" and "Everyone." Thank you! :-) To @Lemon_Cookie, @DiamondLyssa, @jsquish, @ivypool2, @MintyBunBun, and @RubyLavender1727: I've been thinking about the kind of voices I wanted you guys to use for the Counsel Members, and I decided to let you guys decide. :-) You could even record a couple of different voices for each line if you want. :-) Please feel free to have fun with these lines and even go a little bit crazy! :P The Counsel scene is just a tad on the boring side, but I think some fun and creative voice acting is just what it needs to liven things up a bit. :D I just have a couple requests: @ivypool2, I would appreciate it if you could use your natural accent in at least one take for each line, and @jsquish, since I'm planning on having you use your natural voice for the Mystery Boy, I would appreciate it if you could use a different voice for your Counsel Member, if possible. Your lines are the ones marked "Everyone." @mintfig (start of a speech) "It has been three years since the ἐπίγειος (prounced E-pee-gai-os) Kingdom disappeared into the Shadow. Our closest ally. Conquered in a day. And since that day, we have been living on borrowed time. And now… (begins listing) reports of strangers in the villages. Appearing and disappearing like ghosts. Travellers tell us of strange activity in the Moonless Woods. Of course, the stories of any travelling merchant must be taken with a grain of salt. But there have been too many accounts now for us not to be concerned. And I, for one, will not sit idly by, like some (clear emphasis on "some") of us and allow this kingdom, this beacon of hope to thousands, to fall prey to darkness." (slightly surprised + sarcasm) "Well! For once we are in agreement, Ayleth." (skeptical; questioning) "And what do you mean by protection, Ayleth?" (sarcastic; coaxing Ayleth to finish her sentence) "And?" @AppleBear103: (flustered; someone has just questioned the power of your kingdom, and you are a bit on the defensive side) "But that’s nonsense! Of course we have adequate protection! Why, any villager in our whole realm would be willing to die for our fair Kingdom! We are completely prepared for nearly any circumstance." EVERYONE "Well, she does have a point." "Bigger isn’t always better! Hired protection could become forced slavery in a tick!" "I just don’t know." "No, what a terrible idea!" "Yes, this is what I’ve been saying all along! Isn’t that a favorite trick of the enemy? Divide and conquer?" "Sometimes I think this world is just so befuddled, that we simply cannot tell which end is up." "Good gracious, that’s easy. All you have to do is look up, and if you see the sky, you can relax." "Well! That was certainly a waste of time!" "I'm hungry! It seems like these meetings end later every time." (irritated) "Perhaps if our leadership was a bit more competent we wouldn't be in the situation we're in now." (irritated) "Well, what do you expect with a mere child wearing the Emblem?" Do a disgusted sigh and a couple of gasps.
