Instructions

Left and Right arrow keys steer. Up arrow thrusts your ship forward Space Bar fires weapons You begin with 6 ships but can get more. Avoid running into anything except the powerup. The powerup will gradually change colors with each color representing a different bonus... red - Wave Laser - shoots a wide beam green - Shield - collision-proof ship blue green - Tri-Laser - 3 laser beams blue - Extra Ship - 5 ships maximum purple - X2 Score - all points doubled (all powerups except Extra Ship are on timers) The asteroids will break into smaller rocks when shot. Once your score is high enough, the green Alien Mothership will appear. The Mothership will fly around dropping up to 3 mines. Each mine will be inactive briefly and can be shot or flown through. Once a mine goes active, they can run into you and if you get too close, they will chase you. Shoot them before they get a chance. Shooting the green Mothership enough times will cause it to break into 4 smaller ship that chase you. If you score gets really high, the spinning Big Boss ship will appear. If you get too close, it will attempt to crash into you. It must be shot many times to be destroyed (hint: wave lasers do the most damage) Your score and remaining ships are shown at the top of the screen. The High Score display at the end of the game is a leftover from the original program and will be replaced by a cloud system that will allow the top scorers to have their names and scores displayed permanently. I always planned to go back and finish one of my many game ideas and this is looking like the best candidate.

All by Locomule 2010-2014 One of my earlier projects, I forgot how cool this already was. So I'm going to go back and really trick it out and update a lot of things. It runs much smoother than it used to, I had to slow it down to make it playable again. more to dos: make it so that when rock A gets ready to respawn, it checks to see if all four small rocks are really destroyed or if the count bug is acting up and if so, reset the count variable correctly (forgot variable name) add kill scores to explosion routines start up screen with nfo help options picking up extra ship when at max ships activates mega bomb and kills all optimize: (replace all trigger/switch words with binary?) animated explosions sounds, music visual indication of impending powerup timeout new powerup idea: time slower slows all action except player this all started with an older project I posted called Asteroids
