Instructions

It was quite a cold night in dreary winter. Rain was pouring, thunder screaming, lightning running across the sky in some sort of great race. And on the small sidewalk, a young girl was walking. Out in the rain, and the thunder, and the lighting. But somehow she wasn't wet. Somehow she wasn't cold. In fact, she was laughing. Smiling. On the other side of the road, our main character watched curiously. He had never seen someone enjoy this kind of weather, and he was one of those many people. He rubbed his eyes once. Twice. Thrice. She was still there. But when he called her, for somehow her name came to him- Delilah- she didn't seem to hear. He looked both ways, to cross the street. But once he got to the other side, what did he see? No one. He shook his head and looked around, and what did he see but the little girl - Delilah- giggling, on the other side of the road. And no matter how fast he ran from one side to the other, she was always on the other side of the dark little street. And then, when the rain stopped, just as he was running, he saw again with dismay that she had left the side he was on. But this time, she wasn't on the other side. Or in front of him. Or behind. And so for the rest of the day, our main character thought to himself: where did she go?

Description

This was a small story I wrote for fun, I hope you like it! I got the idea for the format of the project from this project I saw once by someone I think was called CaptainCluck. I am not to sure. Ok now I am sure.
