Idee und Vorlage kamen vom Scratch-Team selber (1. Version von Mitchel Resnick (mres), dem Vater von Scratch persönlich!). Das Originalprojekt enthielt Unterprogramme, welche viel zur Übersichtlichkeit beigetragen hatten, hier aber aus Verständnisgründen "ausgeschrieben" wurden.
