Description

Creds all go to @iFurriesSister for these CUTIES. I probably won't get them, but I loved making them... YEAH NOW IT'S TIME TO GET WITH THE BIOS BECAUSE COME ON EVERYONE NEEDS A BIO. Soo. Bloind Bab: Name: Casey (Derayen) Gender: Male Species: Salty Cat (child) Age: 15 Likes: Being alone, sassing other students (hence "Sass Master,") books, Mitzi (Newkirk :>) Dislikes: Most other students, being roasted, constantly being asked by others if they can help him, being assumed helpless Backstory: Casey was originally supposed to be named Cacey, which means observant. His name was quickly changed to the more common form of Casey (which means "brave") when he was found to be blind. He's pretty rough on the outside, but really cuddly on the inside. #SassMaster Tail/Balloony Bab: Name: Mitzi (Newkirk) Gender: Female Species: Kute Doggu ;v; Age: 15 Likes: Books, other (nice) girls, fangirling, her fandoms, gaming, Casey (Derayen) Dislikes: Being teased/bullied/asked about her tail, things changing drastically, tons of schoolwork. Backstory: Mitzi was an ordinary girl fighting extraordinary circumstances. She has a tail with a literal mind of its own. Mitzi got constantly teased about the tail, and often bullied just because she was 14 when she got into high school (Jealousy was a big part) When she met the Sass King, she started hanging out with him a lot. They're best buds now. (Maybe more than best buds? *coughs*) STORY (Why do I always write these..?): Casey's POV I was walking through the hallways at school. I could almost feel the people staring at me. Even though I was new, gossip travelled fast. They knew, and I was now stuck with the big fat label of "that blind kid." I may be blind, but I don't need one of those canes, for cryin' out loud! My other four senses make up for my- blindness. I turned my eyes in all directions, and I knew that I was probably unnerving some people. Sure enough, I heard small talk and nervous laughter fill the hallway, and I smirked to myself. Mission accomplished. Laughing inside, I exited the high school building, and breathed in the fresh air, closing my eyes. I decided on the first day that too many of the other students omitted deodorant from their daily hygiene, and it- ah, wasn't a pleasant smell. Especially in PE class *gags* I gulped down fresh breaths of air, thankful to be alive. My ears twitched, taking in the sounds of shouting students, and whispering conversations. If I tried, I could listen in on some meant for private ears - and I have before - but today, I just let the breeze rush through my hair. The sun shone down, warming me to my skin. Birds called high above. Seagulls, I noted. I remembered that we were close to the sea. And also, I heard a sound out of place. Crying? I inched my way over to the sound, then, for not attending to where I was going, got smacked full on in the face. By a tree. A big fat tree, probably an oak. For Oakstreet High School. Duh. The sobbing simmered down to sniffles, and I realized that crier was probably at my feet. "Hi," I said awkwardly, "Is- there something wrong?" Whoever it was was probably staring at me like I was crazy. "I was about to ask the same about you. *sniff* You kinda, knocked into that tree." "I know. I'm Casey." "Casey? As in Casey Derayen? The-" "Yeah, the blind kid. That's me. I'm the one." I pause. "Nice to meet you, I guess. I'm Mitzi. Mitzi Newkirk." There was a pretty long pause. "Umm, no offense, but I kinda noticed that you've been crying... What's the deal?" She shrugged. I could feel it, because I'd slunk down and sat next to her. "People just think I'm weird," she whispered, "I mean, I just turned 15, and I'm a sophomore." I whistled. "A sophomore? At 15? I'm 15, and I'm just a freshman. You musta had something special." Mitzi shrugged again. "I'm just an average kid, really. Well, except for this-" She picked up her tail, showing it to me. I was confused as I fingered it. "It's just a-" She shook it rapidly, and it rose out of her hand. I felt two eyes blinked from under the hair, and a tiny maw nibbled at my fingers. I swore and jumped back. "What the-?" I trailed off, now speechless, "What IS that thing?!" She sighed. "I call it Newman. Ain't that right, buddy?" she cooed, stroking it. The- thing just smiled. "And that's- I'm assuming- The reason why-?" "Yeah. I'm the 'Weird Tail Girl.' I've gotten no end of comments about it... And a lot of them aren't - exactly worth repeating," she ended, wincing. "Hey, it'll be alright," I assured her, patting her awkwardly. She turned to me and smiled. "You know? I think I'm beginning to like you, Casper Derayen." I gave her what was, I hoped, a grin. "And I think I'm starting to like this Mitzi Newkirk more and more." We smiled at each other as the school bell rung. And from there on, a pair of awkward dweebs became friends. Very good friends. ~The End~
