Instructions

Made using the engine of "The Binding of Isaac - Tearful Fighter". Why not use it to make your own boss battle? CONTROLS: WASD: Move Arrow Keys: Shoot tears in the direction you're pressing (i.e. up arrow shoots up, left arrow shoots left, etc.) OBJECTIVE: Defeat the boss to win. Shoot tears at it to deplete its health. However, the boss will attack back in different ways, so you must attack while also dodging the boss's attacks. If the boss's HP reaches 0, you win. If your HP reaches 0, you lose.

Description

Well, here's an example. The boss I made here is called "The Exception". It is a computer virus style enemy that uses different forms to attack Isaac - a red form, a green form, a blue form, a grey form and a corrupted replica of Isaac known as "I-Patch". The battle demonstrates how the Champion Mode variables and such can be used in effect to create a more varied and interesting boss battle. In this case, it is used to make the boss transform into different forms, each with a different attack. This creates a more varied final boss style battle, coupled with the scripts that make it so no attack is used twice in a row. From a lore point of view, the Exception is a construct of Isaac's mind based on the belief that he is truly corrupt and can only be saved by death, hence why the Exception is a sort of computer virus (it corrupts data) and why it uses it's I-Patch form in battle. Credit to some Cave Story project for the explosion scripts. (I forget the creator's name) You may remix this project however you wish, so long as you credit me for the engine. The music in this game is a remix of C-R-O-W-N-E-D that was uploaded by Deltahedron Mixes. (formerly known as Alez Z) The Binding of Isaac is owned by Edmund McMillen and Florian Himsl.
