Description

Half Human (might change title, again unedited) HALF-HUMAN True, Mondays ALWAYS suck. However, having the barrel of a gun pointed between your eyes is a little bit unsettling – especially if that gun happens to be held by your dangerous sister, “Five more minutes. Please.” “You’d be dead by now.” She sprung into a backflip, landing catlike on all fours. “So?” “So you’d miss breakfast. When it’s pancakes.” She danced out of the room, twirling her gun. Let’s go back a bit, I just wanted to hook you on with that first sentence. Alright, so if you’re reading this because you think it’s sci-fi, I ask you to at least pretend what I am saying as true. The more that believe me, the more chance your world has. If you’re reading this because you’re a complete nut who believes in Roswell, then that’s good because it means you’ll believe this. I rolled out of bed and pulled on a bodysuit, my tail gradually rousing itself as well. When we are born, the doctors place a chip in our tails; an ‘electric brain’. This allows for precise and exact movement. Trouble is, sometimes the chips go wrong, and are created with a personality. This means that we are more efficient than natural society. In those cases, we are taking to a training center, where we go through specialized training to learn how to use our tails. We are released at 20 years old, or later if we require more training. There are disadvantages and advantages to this – We are subject to onslaughts of agony instead of dreams. If we aren’t trained properly, we can go insane or die. However, we are also agile and smart. We can do intense calculations in seconds, and are extremely limber
