Instructions

AIM OF THE GAME: - The aim of this game is to have sustained a population of as many blobs as you can before two minutes is up (see 7th statistic on side bar for time). HIGH SCORE SYSTEM: In this game, the 8 best high scores (in descending order) can be saved. Click 'top 8 high scores' to show them. To refresh the high-scores to see them, you must complete the game yourself (or just wait 2 minuets) GENERAL INFORMATION: - The game is orientated around resources. The main ones include: wood (see 1st statistic on side bar), stone (see 2nd statistic on side bar) and blobs (see 3rd statistic on side bar). There is no real active element to this game, it is about balancing out upgrades and house building. It is essentially a demo-version for my game CatCity which I am planning. Very important: One cannot control the blobs. WORKERS (blobs): - Half of your blobs will be trained as lumberjacks, whereas the other half will be requited as miners. Miners and lumberjacks multiply separately, and therefore can differentiate in numbers. Each miner collects 1 stone per 2 seconds, and will collect twice as much as he would previously when pickaxes are upgraded (upgrade level shown by the fourth statistic on the side bar) from the shop (click the upgrade pickaxes button). The same applies to lumberjacks, in that they will collect 1 piece of lumber every 2 seconds, and will increase it's efficiency by 2X, with every axe upgrade (upgrade level shown by the fifth statistic on the side bar) you purchase. HOUSING: - In order to increase your blob population past 10, you must build houses. Each house increases your housing space (see 6th statistic on the side bar) by 5, compared to the starting tent, which provides 10 housing space. DISPLAY: - There is little point of the main (right hand) side of the display, other than to visualise your growing resource camp. Even the number of trees chopped down can be shown by the 8th statistic on the side bar. The side bar (on the left) shows all your statistics, resources, time left and tool levels. It also has a shop, where you can build houses, upgrade your tools, show the high scores (your score = the number of blobs you have) and turn on the music (which might be quite loud, I recommend volume level 1 or 2 on macs).

Description

WARNING: This game may be quite laggy after 1 and a half minutes; the blobs are cloned at quite an alarming rate at that point... THANKS: I had not expected this to have gained so many loves and favorites, thank you! CREDITS / STUFF: I obtained half of the blob-scripts from mapnap, but the rest of it is added by me. Credits to Mapnap though, because his games are pretty good! Look at the studio this is in, and you will find all the projects that inspired me to build this! OTHER INFO: Just to let you know, pickaxe upgrades cost wood and axe upgrades cost stone.
