Instructions

Trigonometry Ratio Mathland Project Ideas: 1. In the "Main" sprite, experiment with changing values of "Θ increment" and "hypotenuse" 2. Why is there a value called "hypotenuse?" Where is the hypotenuse in all of this? 3. Challenge: Remix to plot two periods of these ratios. 4. Why are sine and cosine so similar in appearance while the tangent ratio appears so unlike sine and cosine?

Description

Mathland Project Ideas create an opportunity for students to engage in mathematical ideas using the language of math. Experimenting and remixing and discussing Mathland projects complement other work students are doing when learning about mathematics. Curriculum connections: Ontario Mathematics Grade 10, 11, 12
