Description

Thanks to @LEFTYtheBLUEPANDA for the DTA! Anyways, disclaimer out of the way... UGHHHH. SCRATCH!!!! Y U MESS UP ART QUALITY?!?! This was so beautiful when I downloaded it, but now it's pixelly. WHHHHYYYY. AND YOU MESSED UP THE COLORS. My beautiful artwork.... But... Anyways... A BIO. I ALMOST FORGOT. Name: Cassiopeia, prefers "Cassi" Gender: Female Sexuality: Straight, I guess :3 Age: ~5,000 years old? If she were a human, she'd be a young adult/older teenager Personality: Casual, a bit shy and depressed, snappy/sassy Backstory: Cassiopeia is rumored to be a traveler of the universe. Her parentage is unknown, and she may or may not be the child of a star. What is known is that she came down with a meteor shower to Earth during her spacely travels, and got stranded here. She's trying to find a way back to her home in the skies. STORY: I paced, then paused every now and then to flick powder off my paws. This confounded moon dust was everywhere, and no doubt I could have passed for a comet if I wanted to. Where was she? Suddenly, a light thump of paws alerted me to a new presence. A dusty yellow-white cat bounded over. Her long, thin legs galloped gracefully, instead of the clumsy way I walked. A pair of steam-punk-like goggles graced her forehead, and a leather bag swung from a strap. She bounced next to me, then steadied herself as she came to a stop. "Hey, Luna," I meowed. She bobbed her head. "Greetings, Cassiopeia." "Luna, stars alive, it's CASSI. Not Cassiopeia." She just shrugged. "Cassiopeia is your formal name." "Yeah, but it sounds so- so- FORMAL." She just shook her head. "I'll always call you Cassiopeia, whether you like it or not." "Not," I muttered under my breath. Her large ears twitched and she blinked her enormous blue eyes. I knew she'd heard me, but I don't think she cared. Now, before you start getting thoughts about me and her as a couple... Nope. I don't like her. She doesn't like me. In the, you know, "like-like" way. We tolerate each other; I'd even consider us friends. I just don't- see her that way. Besides, I'm taken. "Mmmm, so, you've, uh seen Leo lately?" She parted her lips a bit and bit her tongue, a gesture that I knew she'd make when she was trying not to smile. "I don't understand your obsession with that Star Child. He's insane." "Luna, look me in the eyes, and tell me I'm not crazy." Luna just looked away, smirking. I sighed and rolled my eyes. "So, what planet do you want me to explore this time?" Her eyes brightened. "There's this planet unlike any I've ever seen. The Moon Youth would call it Teyya." I blinked. "Teyya?" "But the Star Children call it Seyor. The Sun's Favor." "Oh! I've heard of it." I screwed up my face, "Isn't it a legend, though?" "That's the thing!" She bounced, "The Embassy of the Galaxy has chosen YOU to explore it." "Isn't that normally... Your job?" She shrugged. "Yes. But there are twelve other equally legendary planets in that Senya System, so I'll meet up with you here." Her eyes flashed with excitement, "Deal?" I nodded as she got up and started walking away "Uh, hey, Luna?" She paused and turned around. "Yes?" "Uh, if I don't ever make it back... Tell Leo... That I- I-" She smirked again. "I will make sure of it." She bounded, then ran faster and faster, finally giving the moon's surface a kick with her powerful legs. Disappearing quickly from sight, I knew she'd probably caught a ride on the multiple comets whizzing around. I slipped on my goggles, blinking as they squeezed my face. I took a deep breath, then started trotting forward, then galloping, and finally, I knew I'd reached the right speed when my vision started to blur. I jumped, exhilarated at the solar wind running through my thick fur. I adjusted my goggles and a map appeared on the lenses. No doubt Luna had programmed it there. I swam my way out of the thin atmosphere of the small moon, paddling through the Star Clouds that housed us. I'd hoped to see some other Star Kids, but they were probably all out exploring the galaxy. Again. My vision was distracted by a white light. I saw that a herd of shooting meteors was crashing towards me. I tried running, but forgot that this was space, not a planet. I screamed as they battered me; not hurt, but shocked. I didn't know where they were going, but I'd heard plenty of stories of what happened to Stars like me. Swept away forever, and stranded on planets or moons where no one can help you. I closed my eyes as they whisked me away from the life I knew into a new one. I knew that wherever I landed, I would be trapped. Forever. -------------------- I am so attached. She's like my child now ;v; CASSSSSSSIIIII!! IF I DON'T WIN YOU WILL BREAK MY HEART FOREVS *scowls darkly* *smiles, then hugs little cinnamon roll* *whispers* Even if I don't win you, you have earned a mention in my notebook. (I want her so bad. Not begging, just saying ;v;)
