Thing on Smoke Star's leg is a scar. He injured his back right leg in a forest fire when he was protecting his mate White Wing and their kits River Fur and Ash Fire. Their leader Holly Star was killed by a flaming tree that was collapsing, so Smoke Star was made leader and he chose Berry Thorn to be his new deputy. Rest in peace Holly Star :(
