Instructions

This is version 0.6.1; it compiles what has been completed so far. In all honesty, Scratch projects run way better when on the offline editor, and this one is no exception. - Some quick optimizations and improvements to v0.6. ——— TO-DO LIST (in order of highest to lowest priority)——— - ( ) Refine the overworld engine. - ( in progress ) Clean up the Pokémon sprites. Some are lower quality. - ( ) Make all attacks function correctly. - ( ) Use a list for storage of bags.

>>> READ THIS <<< PastaMario's Changelog: ——v0.6.1—— (February 14, 2017 1:05 AM PDT) - there is a RARE PEPE in this project (kinda) - DEBUG FEATURE: during battle, press 0 to completely randomize the moveset that Vicbuffiel will get (updates once the player exits the FIGHT menu). NOTE that some moves may not work properly, as the battle engine and/or damage engine is not fully developed to accommodate certain moves yet (e.g. Fly). USE AT OWN RISK! - When selecting a move to use for attack, you can hold the 'i' key while clicking on a move to see its stats (Base Power, Accuracy, Category). - In earlier versions, this information would always show whenever you clicked a move to use for attack. - Vicbuffiel's base moveset is now Flame Burst, Stone Edge, Defense Curl, and Leaf Blade. - Enemy's base moveset is now Water Shuriken, Charge Beam, Power Gem, and Crabhammer. - Added animation and sound effects whenever a Pokémon's stats are changed during battle. (ex. use Defense Curl) - Added sound effects for Defense Curl, Charge Beam, Stone Edge, Flame Burst. - When Vicbuffiel's HP drops to 0, it should faint and the screen should black out before the project ends. - Battle music should now loop indefinitely until the battle ends. No more odd silence after 5 minutes of battling. - We revamped a few Pokémon sprites. (Altariram, Amphatisse, Bascukarp, Bishmie, Dragotoise, Grenitrivire, Kirlient, Laprasaur, Lugiaid, Lugital, Luxiper, PAndgofist, and Tyranizard.) ——v0.6—— (February 10, 2017 4:20 PM PDT) - Added animations for nearly all the moves. (so difficult to do lol) - Stat modifiers has been put in, although definitely not finished (ex. use Defense Curl) - Added messages to tell the player that a stat has been modified. Will add animation later. - Vicbuffiel's moveset is now Stone Edge, Defense Curl, Leaf Blade, and Fire Blast. - Enemy Pokémon's moveset is now Flash Cannon, Charge Beam, Water Shuriken, and Ancient Power. - Enemy's level will be a value from 50 to 100, and player's level will be within 5 of that. - Sound effects for attacking has been implemented. Normal effective, super effective, not very effective. - Began setting up project to know which Pokémon can know which move. - (Minor: press m to mute music) - File size: 13.9 MB ——v0.5.5—— (September 27, 2016 11:52 AM PDT) -When starting the project, a random Pokémon from the 131 we have now will be shown. - Databases for Base Stats have been implemented into this project. - Unfortunately, I have not yet implemented their movesets. So don't be surprised if you see a Rotomslash use Vine Whip. - Both Pokémon's levels have been temporarily changed to 100. This is merely to prove that the damage engine is working properly. - Currently at 400 assets. These come from putting in all the front Pokémon sprites. - File size: 13.0 MB ——v0.5.4—— (August 30, 2016 11:25 AM PDT) - Implemented an overworld engine. No collision detection...yet. - Added sound effect when pressing space to go past the intro sequence. - Set up project to receive the database of "Base Stats" from "Pokemon Sprite List (SiennaFusion)". - File size: 12.4 MB ——v0.5.1—— (August 28, 2016 01:14 AM PDT) - Damage calculation should run much faster. - Damage engine now supports dual types. - Damage engine now supports attacks missing. (Ex: Altsheia now has Slam as an attack, which can miss. When it does, no damage will occur, and an appropriate message will appear.) - Vicbuffiel now knows Thundershock. (This is simply for the player to deal 4x damage to Altsheia.) - Vicbuffiel now knows Earthquake. (Select this move to see that the Ground-type attack does not affect the Flying-type Altsheia). This also means that it is possible to lose to the Altsheia now. - The "Fade Sprite" is used when the enemy faints. - When the enemy faints, the variables disappear one by one, instead of all at once. This should help prevent a bit of lag. - File size : 11.9 MB
