BASICS https://scratch.mit.edu/help/ -Moving and Shooting- Your ship will go to your mouse automatically, ability is only active for a short period, each is recharged by destroying enemy ships, and each require a different number of kills to be ready. In the bottom left corner of the screen, there are bars that show whether or not the ability is ready, and how close each one is to being ready. Once an ability is ready, press 1 for sheild, 2 for double shot, and 3 for minion.
