They found out soon after breezeflight was apprenticed, that he actually belonged in the pack of wind, and they deliberately kicked him out. He served the Pack of Wind as if it were his own pack, and eventually became alpha. He still has a bit of a grudge against the pack of darkness. "I will be soft and kind, like a gentle breeze, but when necessary, I will blast out like a strong gale."
