(hes mainly for the arena so he doesn't have a super detailed bio) (also if his colors are too much I can tone them down) Mantis Chimera, Male, Acid elemental, 'Arena beast' Abilities include acid spit, blood with slightly acidic properties (stings badly when getting into sensitive areas like eyes or wounds) and tail barb that injects deadly toxins Raised in the streets of Outbridge, Mantis was faced with frequent mistreatment because of superstitions about his element. Even some of his best friends were a little scared of him, and kept at a distance. As a child he struggled in schooling and socializing, which kept him rather distant and isolated. Because of this, he'd spend most of his time intentionally scaring people off, bullying them at the threat of his powers. Because he lacked any other skills, he decided the only hope for his future was to get into combat training and join the kingdom's military. When he came of age, he was accepted for combat training and excelled in it. There were two problems with this: again, superstitions based on his element, and his tendency not to notice his opponent's pain. He never knew when to stop when he'd spar with someone, so he was kicked out of training for being too dangerous and injuring a few other trainees. Because he had no other career options, he was hired as an executioner of sorts. He'd punish criminals in the arena and get to put on a show at the same time. Not being the squeamish or cowardly type, Mantis accepted the offer almost immediately. Notes: - He often mistreats his opponents before the battle, and in the rare cases they're allowed to live another day, after the battle. This includes any form of harassment imaginable, but his insults are always about how bad they are at fighting. - Something tells me the kingdom would probably sic him on a loose criminal. He is, after all, a hired fighting machine. - He often kills his opponents prematurely on accident. He would ask them if they have any last words, but it's usually too late by then.
