Mint looked behind her. Nothing was there. "Who is there?" she cried. No reply. "Anyone?"she pleaded. Nothing. "I guess I will have to get out of here alone,"Mint thought. "If only Max was here," she said quitely. "Oh, Max is not here," a voice finally repliad."I can assure you that." Another voice came in, but it mas muffled. "hmmfp," it said. Mint heard shaking,a chair shaking. She tried to speak to it. "Hello?" she yelled. Again, the muffled voice. "hmmmfp," it said with some urgency. Then, she could not move her moth.
