Story: You are part of a team working to find life on other planets. You have landed a rover on a planet with many signs of life, but its solar panel has broken and it is losing power. You must try to find as many signs of life as you can before running out of power. Instructions: Using the arrow keys, investigate possible signs of life (yellow dots). If there is nothing there, your rover will flash red. If you find some sign of life, your rover will flash green and your score will go up by 5. Investigating signs of life will make you lose some power, but it is worth it. There are 3 types of randomly generated terrain: soil (brown), ice (light blue), and water (dark blue). Use the keys 1, 2, and 3 to switch your rover between soil mode, ice mode, and water mode, respectively. If you are on terrain and you are using the wrong mode, your battery will drain faster. The landing pad in the center can be accessed by any mode. Now go look for life! Can you beat my score of 185? Please leave a love and fave! And maybe a follow? :D Thanks!
THANK YOU SO MUCH @HOPE4TOMORROW FOR CURATING THIS!!!!!!!! I WOKE UP TO 49 MESSAGES!!! This is my first ever pen game, so I apologize if it isn't very good. I made this for Horizon Elite. The challenge was to make a space-themed pen project. All coding by me! If you have any suggestions, comment below! It was difficult to make the randomly generating ellipses. I haven't learned that much in my math class, so I had to look up the math equations. They actually make a lot of sense; I already know the equations for a circle, and there aren't many differences. It was fun to have an excuse to learn more! 7/2/17 - CURATED! 5/26/17 - Added highscores 1/16/17 - Shared
