Sounds kinda like jazz improvisation. I think it sounds nicer to lower the third of the scale. Personally, my favorite instrument choices are 3, 10, 11, and 18. Try playing around with instruments and the tempo! If anybody's curious, I started this reading about Proteus. I was curious if I could do something similar to what they are doing. Then it evolved into this.
