Press the space key to launch a firework. To stamp the firework press the 'm' key. *** Challenges! *** See if you can create an artwork by stamping fireworks. Add some more of Hull's buildings or maybe some masts from boats in the marina. Edit the artwork to create different types of fireworks. Make it look as though the fireworks are coming from the two barges used for the display. Change the size of the fireworks.
This is a project that I have remixed. I like the way remixing gives you a start point from which you can build. It's also useful for learning new techniques, such as cloning here. I remembered seeing a fireworks project being used as a demonstration for cloning in the alpha version of Scratch 2.0. I added the variety of colours. This project was inspired by going to the fireworks display to mark the start of Hull being the UK City of Culture for 2017 on January 1st 2017.
